Anti-inflammatory
Status & caution. Not FDA-approved. Among the 12 peptides removed from Category 2 in April 2026 and scheduled for PCAC review on 23 July 2026. Mechanistically interesting but very little human data; mostly cell and animal models of inflammation.
At a glance
Indications & what it's studied for
Reported anti-inflammatory effects, including interest in gut inflammation (IBD models) and skin; acts on intracellular inflammatory signalling without the pigmentation effect of full α-MSH.
Contraindications & cautions
No established human contraindications; no human-use approval.
Commonly reported dosing
Reported, not recommended. The following describes what appears in research literature and community use. It is not a protocol, and unapproved peptides have no validated human dosing.
Community use reports small oral or subcutaneous doses; unvalidated.
Routes of administration
Oral, topical, or subcutaneous in community use.
Don't combine with
No well-characterised interactions documented.
Reported to stack with
Sometimes combined with BPC-157 for gut/inflammation goals.
Note: "stacking" combines multiple agents and multiplies unknowns; popularity of a combination is not evidence of its safety.
What the research actually shows
Preclinical anti-inflammatory data (colitis and skin models); human trials are lacking.
